Originating from the village of Choustouliana in southern Crete, near ancient Gortyna, the Bakantakis family cultivates the olive trees inherited from their parents and grandparents in the fertile Messara plain.

Cultivation Method
The father of the family, Stelios Bakantakis, spends every day in the olive groves, carrying out all tasks of the annual olive-growing cycle with love and respect for tradition, devoted to each olive tree individually. At the same time, he continually learns and applies the most modern, environmentally friendly cultivation methods — grass cutting instead of plowing, hand harvesting, and cold pressing.
The Bakantakis family produces monovarietal olive oil exclusively from the Koroneiki variety. The olives are hand-picked and pressed just a few hours later at low temperature, preserving their valuable nutrients.
The result is a high-quality olive oil with a fruity taste, low acidity, and the intense aroma of fresh green olives.
